Hoptoberfest Elite 8 Announced at Beverage Place Pub

Hoptoberfest at the Beveridge Place Pub is a hop-lovers dream. All month long the pub pours through a massive selection of IPAs, with the goal of determining which will be the “house IPA” for the next year.

It’s a crowd participation thing, where pub patrons nominate and vote for their favorites. Pretty much any IPA is eligible, as long as it is brewed in Washington and is reasonably available. After all, its’ going to be the house IPA at the Bev next year, which means the brewery will need to supply up to five kegs per week.

For the first ten days or so, it’s just a big IPA free-for-all. Now the pub has announced the elite eight: the top vote-getters thus far. One of the following eight beers will be on tap all the time next year – the house IPA.

  • Bale Breaker Topcutter IPA
  • Counterbalance IPA
  • Flying Lion Another IPA
  • Georgetown Bodhizafa IPA
  • Island Hoppin’ Elwha Rock IPA
  • Reuben’s Crikey IPA
  • Schooner Exact Hopvine IPA
  • Two Beers Evo IPA

It is your duty to get down to the Beveridge Place Pub and vote for your favorite. Eventually the field will be narrowed again. And then a winner announced.
