Seattle has a new beer bar. As we understand it, this is a good one. Last week we reported here that Seth Howard (of Collins Pub fame) was on the brink of opening a new pub in north Seattle. The “Hudson New American Public House” is now open for business. Our friends at NW Beer Guide published a comprehensive post that includes a lot of good information. Check out their post.
The Hudson Pub is located at 8014 15th Ave NE, Seattle — at 15th and Lake City Way. (Map it.) In other words, very near Cooper’s Alehouse. We’ve been told they have an excellent selection of beer (not to mention wine and liquor) and a very enticing menu. We sincerely hope to get up there and check it out soon. You should to. Tell ’em the blog sent you.

I live in Maple Leaf and Hudson is an awesome addition. Their beer selection is good, as is their food. The overall feel is great – part neighborhood pub mixed with a slightly nicer/trendy spot. The remodel was well done and it is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Hudson really has the potential to be here for while. If your in the area, you need to check it out!

i love collins and seth. my only gripe, the kind i’m only willing to espouse anonomously, is that he has some New Belgium fetish. i just don’t dig their beers and wish he wouldn’t waste handles on them.
