Introducing B-Town Brewfest – Burien Gets a Beer Festival

Today we welcome a new sponsor to the Washington Beer Blog: Burien Brewfest (aka B-Town Brewfest). The event takes place on Saturday, October 13 at the Burien Community Center. There will be two sessions, the first starting at 11:30 and the second starting at 4:30. As for the beer, the lineup includes the likes of Diamond Knot Brewing, Schooner Exact Brewing, Airways Brewing, Wingman Brewers, Harmon Brewing, Iron Horse Brewing and more.

Located just minutes from downtown Seattle and just a stone’s throw from SeaTac airport, Burien is one of the best-kept secrets in King County. In recent years, an influx of new businesses, a wave of new commercial development, and the construction of a new transit center and library have helped shed light on Burien. Actually, you could easily point to the opening of the Elliott Bay Brewhouse and Pub in 2007 as the beginning of Burien’s renaissance. And now Burien gets its own beer festival.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the SeaTac Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital.
