Introducing Kevin Davey: a new brewer on the scene

We heard some weeks ago that the brewer at Chuckanut Brewery and Kitchen,  Josh Pfriem, was moving on. After helping Chuckanut win some impressive medals at the Great American Beer Fest this past September (read about it here), Josh recently accepted a position with Full Sail Brewing. We wish Josh all the best in his new pursuits.
Today, we received the following press release introducing Kevin Davey as the new brewer at Chuckanut.

NEW BREWER JOINS CHUCKANUT BREWERY
Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen at 601 W Holly St in Bellingham has hired Kevin Davey as a new brewer on the brew team under the leadership of brewmaster Will Kemper. Kevin has moved up from the Seattle area where he was a full time home brewer, plumber, and beer lover. Kevin has studied brewing science at Chicago’s Siebel Institute and at Germany’s Doemen’s Institute (specializing in German style beers) in Munich. Brewmaster Will Kemper is excited to have Kevin join his brew team and looks forward to utilizing his expertise in plumbing as the brewery prepares for its first growth since opening in 2008. Mr. Davey has brewed in Seattle with Big Al and considers brewing with Chuckanut his “dream job”! Chuckanut Brewery is very happy to have Kevin join the Chuckanut brew team.
We will be introducing him at our next Brewer’s Night, which is set to take place Wednesday, December at 7:30pm
