Iron Horse Brewery cans Mocha Death, giving away kegerators

Beer, coffee and chocolate coexisting as a single beverage in the same can. What could possibly go wrong? We’ll soon find out because Iron Horse Brewery is now canning the coffee-infused, chocolate-tainted version of its ever popular Irish Death. The company encourages consumers to add Mocha Death to their Pacific Northwest Toolkit, pointing out that Mocha Death “pairs well with campfires, trail mix and breakfast, so next time you whip up those pancakes you might want to whip out a can of Mocha Death.”

Each 12-ounce can is packed with beer, pure cocoa and espresso from D&M Coffee Roasters, a local coffee company in Ellensburg that began roasting its own beans in the early 1990s. According to Greg Parker, owner and general manager at Iron Horse Brewery, “D&M is actively involved in our farmlandian town of Ellensburg through fundraisers, civic engagement, community events and providing enough wakey-wakey fuel to keep motoring on everyday. We’re glad to continue working with them as we move to our new 6-packs.”

Iron Horse Brewery is celebrating the release of this beer in cans by giving away some stainless steel mugs and two single-tap kegerators. Two grand prize winners will receive a kegerator stuffed with Iron Horse Brewery merchandise, 50 pounds of coffee, a grinder and mugs, so they’ll be ready for anything in the Pacific Northwest.
