Join us on Sunday for a Hootenanny at Beveridge Place Pub

Each year, this proves to be one of the best-loved annual, community fundraiser events at the Beveridge Place Pub (blog sponsor), but what exactly is Catsino? First off, it’s a benefit for the Furry Faces Foundation, an animal loving, social group of folks whose motto is “having fun…while raising money for animals.”

On Sunday, April 7, The Beveridge Place Pub turns into a casino (for play, not real money, of course). There is a silent auction along with the games. It’s really just a great party for a great organization and everyone is invited.

A lot of local merchants are involved, along with a bunch of local beer people. Like, for instance, the Washington Beer Blog, Two Beers Brewing (blog sponsor), The Beer Junction (blog sponsor), and Georgetown Brewing. We’ll be running a dice game. I have no idea what any of the breweries have planned. The event organizers have conveniently arranged to have us all occupy the same area of the pub so we can trash talk.

If you’ve ever been to a “casino-night” event, you have a vague idea of what to expect. Catsino is all of that and more. And since it’s IPApril at the Beveridge Place, rest assured there will be plenty of IPA-fueled fun.

The event starts at 2:00 on Sunday and the cost of admission is $25 at the door. Like I said, it’s a very worth cause and its a lot of fun. How intense you are about gambling does not matter. This is all about fun. And beer.

Visit Catsino on Facebook for more information.
