Join the 3rd Annual Ball Crawl in Kenmore this Saturday

What exactly is a “ball crawl?” Well, it involves participants visiting three breweries in Kenmore that are within crawling distance of each other: Cairn Brewing, Nine Yards Brewing, and 192 Brewing. As for the “ball” part of the equation, the event is a fundraiser for testicular cancer, with proceeds benefiting the Family Jewels Foundation.

The 3rd Annual Family Jewels Kenmore Ball Crawl happens this Saturday, November 9th from 1:00 to 5:00. Tickets are $25 if you get them online and $30 at the event. You’ll get a ticket for a tasting tray at all three Kenmore breweries. Funds raised at the event support testicular cancer education and scholarships for siblings of victims of this 100-percent-curable disease. See the event page on Facebook for details.

According to the event organizers, “The Ball Crawl benefits the Family Jewels Foundation, whose programs include teaching early detection of testicular cancer so that #NobodyDiesofEmbarrassment from this 95-percent-curable disease, and providing four-year college scholarships to three local students who’ve had a sibling with cancer. We do this in memory of our dear boy, Jaimeson Jones, who died at age 20 from a recurrence of testicular cancer and left two little sisters behind, to whom he bequeathed his college savings.”
