Keeping Clam with Northwest Ciders

The new Northwest Cider Association is quickly gaining ground with their new marketing efforts. We are seeing a greater variety of local cider in our bottle shops (like West Seattle’s The Beer Junction, where I’ve selected Blossom Nectar by Tieton Cider Works as one of my recommended picks), and it seems that every month brings a new cider-related event.

The latest has cider-makers Keeping Clam with a special event at Ivar’s Salmon House on North Lake Union. The Northwest Fall Cider Celebration, happening Thursday, November 11th from 5:30 to 8:30, will feature 20 locally crafted ciders paired with hors d’hoeuvres by Executive Chef Jason Bray. Attendees also vote for the “People’s Choice” cider of the night.

Participating cideries include Wildfire Cider, Red Barn Cider, Finnriver Cidery and Tieton Cider Works. More information and tickets ($35) for this 21+ event are available at www.Ivars.com.
