Kulshan Brewing new beer releases and more

 

Kulshan Brewing just announced the release of some new beers, including two more in the Brewers Select series. Also, on February 18 they’ll offer a three-year vertical tasting of their Barleywine. Here’s the info from the brewery.

SESSION IPA: Brewers Select #27. Complex tropical and stone fruit aromas quickly engage the senses before the first sip. Light body and balanced malt make this Session Style IPA the perfect go-to as we look forward to spring. Apollo, Cascade, Mosaic, Citra, Calypso hops.
ABV 4.2% IBU 10

IMPERIAL IPA: Brewers Select #28. An American Imperial IPA deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest that provides a perfect showcase for hops. Complex and delicate layering of tropical fruits, berry and stone fruit fill the aroma, notes of citrus, floral and pine are present as well. Reaching over 10% in ABV, a smooth alcohol warming is balanced by strong hop flavor and clean, bready malt. Citra, Simcoe, Azacca, Lemon Drop hops

BOOT STRAP BROWN: Full of aroma that includes layers of chocolate, roast, toasted bread and a delicate touch of earthy mint that compliments and enhances the overall flavor. A moderate body with dark malt flavors that highlight a soft sweetness and a balanced toasty flavor. Brewed for that “Boot-stomping good time”, proceeds of this beer will benefit the Whatcom Hospice Foundation, and is the official brew for the Lumber & Lace ball, held on March 4th at the Majestic ball room in Bellingham. ABV 5.31% IBU 26

BARLEYWINE VERTICAL: Special limited release of aged barley wine from 2013, 2014 and 2015. Available as a set of three at our K2 taproom 2/18.
