Herbert’s Legendary Cask Fest Ale

Each year members of the Washington Brewers guild cook up a batch of Herbert’s Legendary Cask Fest Ale. This year’s batch was brewed at Mollusk Brewery in Seattle.

This year’s Herbert’s was brewed with Washington grown and processed malt, and each participating brewery was asked to bring a pound of their favorite hop. The result is a medium bodied Pale Ale with an intense bouquet of hops from around the world. The beer will make its debut prior to the Cask Festival at the release party hosted by The Latona Pub (6423 Latona Ave NE, Seattle, www.3pubs.com) on Wednesday, March 16.

35 thoughts on “List of breweries and beers for Washington Cask Beer Festival

  1. I’m looking forward to trying Fremont’s Kentucky to Scotland if I win tickets to Cask Fest. Thanks!

  2. I’d have to say I’m very interested in trying Postdoc’s Barrel-aged Alpha Factor IPA with Brett.

  3. Definitely looking forward to *everything* from Cloudburst: the IPA, the probably other IPA, and the Probably Not!

  4. Probably an ipa from Cloudburst. Excited to see what creative beers Steve Luke is putting out now!

  5. Anything from Cloudburst, (since they gave such a detailed list of what they will be pouring thats about as specific as One could be). Just moved here from Virginia this week, so excited about the beer scene!

  6. I would like to enter the drawing for the pair of free tickets. I would look forward to trying the beers from Silver City Brewing. Thank you for the consideration.

  7. I’m excited to try all the beers offered by Machine House Brewery, but particularly their Barleywine. I had 3 firkins of their beer at my wedding and it was all delicious. Love what they do.

  8. Bellevue Brewing Company. Because my boss’s, boss’s, boss (me ‘times x3) is part investor…and he is AWESOME. He makes our team better.

  9. I’m looking forward to supporting a Greenwood institution after the blast this week. Naked City’s Mint Chocolate Porter is my most highly anticipated brew.

  10. I would love to try Black Raven’s Grandfather Raven. Of course I would like to try many of these, but that one especially.

  11. Hellbent Brewing – Seattle. The Lavender Saison. I usually go for a double IPA, but I have found a fabulous Saison is a great beer to enjoy. I had a taste of a Lavender Saison a couple of years ago and it was amazing. When I saw this on the list of beers, yes I became giddy with anticipation!!!! Oh how this would make my month 🙂

  12. the brewery’s beer I’m most looking forward to drinking:
Walking Man Brewing- Big Black Homo Erectus (CDA)…a several others…lots of great options!!

  13. Either the NW Peaks Brewery, Ingall’s Ginger with Jalapeno Lime or Hellbent’s Lavender Saison. Both sound very intriguing.

  14. I’m excited for Silver City’s Nice Day IPA. I’ve enjoyed all the IPA’s from them so far – looking forward to trying another.
