Very excited to taste the upcoming slippery pig brews. As a local farmer and beer fan I'm excited to grow ingrediants for beer.
Can't wait!

We are Slippery Pig Brewery in Poulsbo, with high hopes of opening this year. We will be brewing high quality, and unusual beers with the emphasis on using local ingredients wherever possible. We are a nanobrewery with a one barrel system that will be brewing beers not for the masses, but for our neighbor's, and for our neighbor's neighbors. Hope to see you next year at the Poulsbo Farmer's Market. Dave Lambert, Head Brewer and President.

Wow, thanks for your interest in the FBA! This is all still a little overwhelming for us, we're still setting up our 1 bbl system, getting a web presence going, and wading through a mountain of paperwork.

We're still working out all the stuff we have to do with the state liquor board (which is a drop in the bucket compared to the federal), so we still have a ways to go before being legit. but as far as i can tell now, the key to doing this nano thing is have your parents live in unincorporated king county, and get them to loan you their garage. The site has been approved so far! We were inspired by what Foggy Noggin is doing out in Bothell, and are young and ignorant enough to just go for it.

We're all basically working 2 jobs now with hopes that the brewing will become a full-time vocation sometime down the road, so we're progressing as we can. Keep checking www.filthybeers.com to see where we're at. Apparently there's an audience now, so we'll start putting a little more time into it!

Thanks again, WBB!

Interesting... so Filthy Brewing Alliance is essentially a couple homebrewers selling beer cause they make more than they can drink. I'll be interested in hearing more from them, there's not much info on their blog currently. Not many people in WA have done nanoscale breweries, because I thought the liquor laws and economics of it didn't work out as well here. Sounds like they got liquor board approval, which is probably one of the biggest obstacles.
