Naked City kicks off 10th Anniversary celebration tomorrow

Tomorrow (Saturday, January 20th), Naked City Brewery and Taproom kicks off its 10th Anniversary celebration with a special beer release party. Details below. In all, the celebration will span 10 months, with events taking place at both locations — Seattle and Camano Island.

Working with the likes of 21st Amendment Brewing, Pike Brewing, Silver City Brewery, and Flying Bike Brewing, Naked City is creating a series of collaboration beers to commemorate the milestone.  The first beer in the series, which will be released tomorrow, is an Imperial Saison brewed in collaboration with Tomas Munoz, the brewery that gave Naked City’s Don Webb his first shot at commercial brewing. You can find out more details about the beer in the official announcement from the brewery (below).

+10-for-10 Series #1 Beer Release Party

Seattle, WA – The year 2018 brings a special milestone – the 10th anniversary of Naked City Brewing. With hearts full of gratitude, the Naked City crew is celebrating ten years with ten months of collaboration beers, food pairings, charity concerts, and the Décima, a craft beer odyssey.

In partnership with many beloved brewers, including 21st Amendment, Pike, Silver City, and Flying Bike, Naked City will release one official beer each month from January to October—and a handful of surprise beers to be announced along the way.

The first beer in the 10-for-10 series is an imperial saison brewed with a variety of malts and infused with lemongrass, orange peel, and tart Montmorency cherries. Naked City head brewer Don Webb collaborated on the brew with Tomas Munoz, who gave Don is first commercial brewing opportunity at Stix Pizza and Brewing Company.

And so begins a beer odyssey known as the Décima, a poem in ten beers. Beer lovers can pick up a Décima punch card at either pub anytime after the first 10-for-10 beer is released. Beers will be released monthly until the big 10th Anniversary Parties at both pubs in October 2018, when completed Décima punch cards can be turned in for a complementary 10th Anniversary Décima pint glass.

At the Greenwood pub, a special series of ten anniversary Naked Sessions concerts will benefit charities chosen by the artists. Tomo Nakayama and Little Spirits take the stage in the Screening Room at 8pm, on Saturday, January 27, to benefit Facing Homelessness. Tickets are $10.

Naked City Brewery & Taphouse strives to carry on the rich tradition of the American public house, where great food and delicious beer set the table for community life. The brewpubs in Greenwood and Camano Island host a variety of cultural events each month.
