Congratulations to Narrows Brewing Company, which celebrates its first anniversary at the brewery in Tacoma this Saturday. The party will spill out of the taproom into the brewhouse and the adjoining warehouse, and onto the deck. Even if you cannot attend the party, stop by and wish them a happy birthday. Tacoma-local celeb Stephanie Anne Johnson provides the musical entertainment at Saturday’s event. If the name sounds familiar, she was a contestant on The Voice back in 2013. Tacoma , WA – Narrow’s Brewing Company Turns One
This July marks the one year anniversary for one of Tacoma’s newest craft beer breweries, Narrows Brewing Company. Located in the restored Mill Building in Narrows Marina at the bottom of 19th Street, it enjoys a waterfront setting that takes full advantage of the view of its name sake waters, the Narrows Bridge, and local boating activity.
The one year anniversary will be celebrated with a craft beer style party Saturday, July 19th from 6:00 – 11:00 and will be held not only in the taproom, but also the brew house, a portion of the adjoining warehouse, and an outdoor deck. Tickets are $10 and a limited number are being sold in the taproom. The party is being dubbed “Breakers Ball”, a fishing community reference to a favorite location off Pt. Richmond, where local fishermen have great success fishing in the breakers created by prevailing winds.
Entertainment will be provided by Tacoma’s Stephanie Anne Johnson, of The Voice, 2013 season. Her Rock and R & B sound will provide the backdrop for dancing and sampling of 6 craft beers on tap. A variety of food vendors will be available on site for food purchase. Come join the party, it’s going to be a ball!
In its debut year, Narrows Brewing Co. has created a name for itself with innovative brews from head brewer, Joe Walts, such as its Hibiscus Saison as well as the Barrel Aged Black Saison to commemorate their anniversary. Joe continues to produce excellent traditional craft beer standards such as the IPA, Imperial Red, Amber Ale, Sessions, Double IPA and Golden Ales. After partnering with Olympic Eagle Distributing, NBC has its products in over 100 pubs. They began bottling their IPA (Giant Pacific Octopus IPA) and Golden Ale (Galloping Gertie Golden) in January and have them placed in stores throughout the area.
