NFL & Seahawks Kickoff Parties – At Last!

For Seahawks fans, there has never been a more hotly awaited NFL season than the one kicking off tonight. At least that’s my observation and I’ve been a Seahawks fan since, well, since the very first Seahawks season. This town is abuzz with… wait for it… anticipation.

I want to tell you about two events related to this highly anticipated season. First, an NFL season kickoff party tonight. Second, a Seahawks kickoff party on Sunday.

NFL KICKOFF
Today (Thursday, September 5th) the World Champion Baltimore Ravens meet Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in the season opener. Along with 710 ESPN Radio and Georgetown Brewing (Blog Sponsor), Bleachers Pub in Greenwood will host a kickoff party for the first game of the season. Kickoff is at 5:30.

Free admission and a free football pool with prizes for all who attend. There will also be specials on Manny’s Pale Ale and other menu items, not to mention a raffle with great prizes and a silent auction. Included in the silent auction are autographed guitars from Sting and Mick Jones of the Clash, along with a signed Seahawks helmet by All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman!

SEAHAWKS KICKOFF
Sunday, September 8th, the Seahawks travel to Carolina to take on the Panthers. Join Mike Brown of KIRO ESPN Radio at Jersey’s Great Food & Spirits in Shoreline for a Seahawks kickoff party. The game starts at 10:00 a.m.

Nine of Jersey’s 16 tap beers are Washington Beer. Free admission and a free football pool with prizes for all who attend. There will be food and drink specials and breakfast will be served. The silent auction will feature an autographed football by Seahawks DE Red Bryant, a signed Seahawks helmet by coach Pete Carroll and an autographed guitar by Alice Cooper.
