Parkway Barleywine Festival – what’ll be on tap

By no means is it a commandment written in stone, but the popular consensus seems to be that bigger, bolder beers are most enjoyable during the long, dark winter months. If that’s true, then what better way to bid farewell to all things dark and wintry than with a two-day celebration of the biggest, boldest brews around? As we reported last week (read that story), the Parkway Tavern in Tacoma will host its Barleywine Festival on April 24th and 25th.

What’s more, the Parkway is hosting a Barleywine Brunch on Sunday the 25th, with selected barleywines paired with brunchable treats. Just think about that for a moment. Damned impressive, if you ask me. Tickets to the Barleywine Brunch will be extremely limited. You should contact them soon for tickets and details. (253) 838-8748.
