Pike Brewing Presents the Old Bawdy Time Machine – this Friday

Remember back in 2006, when Cee Lo Green was just the unknown voice of Gnarls Barkley, Mariners fans struggled to pronounce Ryan Feierabend’s name, and Saddam Hussein was still alive? Back then, there was no such thing as Black Raven Brewing, 7 Seas Brewing, Fremont Brewing or Airways Brewing (to mention just a few).

This Friday you can step inside a time machine and transport yourself with Barleywine. Pike Brewing presents an Old Bawdy Vertical Tasting event at the Pike Pub on Friday, January 11. There will be seven vintages of Old Bawdy Barleywine available, dating back to 2006 when Borat and Little Miss Sunshine were box office hits, and Nintendo had not yet introduced us to the Wii.

Here are the details:

Each year Pike dives into it’s archives of prior vintages to host Pike’s Old Bawdy Vertical Tasting. This year guests will have the opportunity to sample seven vintages: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. This is a rare treat for Barley Wine lovers, to taste first hand how barley wine, and specifically Pike Old Bawdy, develops over the years. A sneak peak at how those bottles you’ve been laying down are tasting!
