Progress at Peddler Brewing Company – Another Ballard Brewery

Back in October, we told you about Peddler Brewing Company, another new brewery coming to Ballard. (Read it.) They recently sent me a progress report and I want to share it with you. Haley Woods and David Keller are hoping to open their new brewery by end of February. The brewery and tasting room will be in a familiar location: the former home of Maritime Pacific Brewing near the intersection of 15th and Leary Ave NW.

Peddler Brewing will have a seven-barrel brewing system, a tasting room, growler fills, and a 32-ounce bottle exchange program. As the name implies, there will be a bicycle theme at Peddler Brewing Company. In addition to the tasting room’s bike-inspired decor, cyclists will appreciate an indoor bicycle rack and a public-use bicycle workstation.

Photos shamelessly lifted from Peddler's Facebook page.

Like other embryonic breweries, Peddler Brewing is turning to Kickstarter to help with funding. Of course Kickstarter is not intended to completely fund a project of this magnitude, but it does give the public a chance to support what Peddler Brewing is trying to accomplish. Kickstarter allows you to contribute to the project and get some kind of reward for your support. Visit Peddler Brewing’s Kickstarter page for details.
