Publican National Committee

What is the Publican National Committee? We heard about it the other night and it piqued our curiosity. Great beer bars? Exclusive beers and great brewers? It all sounded good to us. Our buddies over at the Northwest Beer Guide posted a story about it and we suggest you go read it. Right now, they have a beer called Publication on tap at Brouwer’s that you should go drink.
The founding members of the Publican National Committee include Brouwer’s Cafe (Seattle), Horse Brass (Portland), Monks (Philadelphia), and Toranado (San Francisco). The Publican National Committee also has their own Web site (blog) that you should check out as well.
Here’s a quote from the NPC Web site that helps to give you the basic idea, but you should go read the story on the Northwest Beer Guide for more information.

“Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing, along with Matt Vandenberghe, Matt Bonney, David Keene, Chris Black, Tom Peters, and Don Younger who are the founding members of the PNC, got together back in the beginning of May to brew a special beer for our first release of many to come. You can expect to see this beer in the next couple of weeks exclusively in our Pubs.”
