Parking:
There is a lot that wraps around the building. If full, street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

Tips:

  • People regularly double park in the double-deep spaces behind the building–blocking other patrons in. These are the spots around back along the alley. When you go inside, simply tell the bartender what kind of car you have and eventually you might hear them shout, “Who has the blue pickup truck?” It is a common practice here.
  • The regulars often refer to the Dog and Pony as “The D&P” or simply “The Dog.”
  • Beers on tap are listed on two chalkboards. Be sure to ask how current they are. Taps change frequently.

Located in the heart of downtown Renton, WA, the Dog and Pony Alehouse is the city’s top spot for craft beer.  The Dog and Pony is a neighborhood pub with a world class selection of beer, located a stone’s throw from the Cedar River, downtown Renton, Renton Airfield, and Renton Memorial Stadium.

The outstanding beer selection includes 32 taps pouring microbrews from the Pacific Northwest, the western United States and beyond, as well as many bottled beer selections. They also pour German beer, Belgian beer and other world beers. They know what the people around here like, so it is not uncommon for the tap selection to include ten or more different IPAs. Whatever kind of beer wets your whistle, the Dog and Pony has you covered.

The kitchen at the Dog and Pony creates delicious pub grub to accompany any beer. The menu offers a generous selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and entrees.

The Dog and Pony has a beautiful beer garden, a pool table, juke box, and lots of friendly people. Please come join us for a delicious craft beer, a bite to eat, and some friendly conversation. When the weather permits, there is no shortage of outdoor seating – the beer garden is large.

Specials

The kitchen sometimes cooks up nightly specials, usually on Wednesday and Thursday nights, when they offers enchiladas and other home-style dishes.

Friday night is prime rib night. A delicious cut of beef with all the fixins makes an excellent accompaniment to whatever beer is in your glass.
