Puppies, beer and BBQ at Brewmaster’s Taproom this Sunday

Hmmm. What should you get that special mom in your life for Mother’s Day this year? I don’t know. Maybe a puppy! How about a rescued puppy that needs a loving home?

The Brewmaster’s Taproom is hosting a BBQ fundraiser this Sunday, May 13th. It’s also a chance for you to try beer from one of Washington’s most highly anticipated new breweries: Varietal Beer Company. AND, there will be puppies! The event is a fundraiser for All Mutts Great & Small, a pet rescue organization out of Yakima. Pictured above, just one of the puppies that you’ll get to meet at the event.

Varietal Beer Company is located in Sunnyside, Washington, right in the middle of the Yakima Valley, the world’s most productive hop growing micro-region. The brewery was founded by veterans of the beer industry along with veterans of the hop industry. I was there a couple weeks ago for the grand opening of their taproom in Sunnyside and the beers were spectacular.

Anyway, back to this Sunday’s event. The BBQ starts at 1:00 PM. The official event hours are 1:00 – 3:00. You can secure your tickets here. For $20 you get fed and you get a pint of Varietal Beer Co’s beer. Visit the event’s Facebook page for info.
