Sail Away to Victoria on the Clipper – a Special Offer

A few weeks ago I posted a story about beer trekking in Victoria, BC. I recently learned that Clipper Vacations has a pretty sweet deal running right now. Since I suggested that people visit Victoria, and recommended doing it via the Victoria Clipper, I kind of feel obliged to tell you about opportunities to do it on the cheap. To take advantage of the deal, you’ll have to act before November 15.

One of the hotel packages that Clipper Vacations is currently featuring happens to be the hotel we stayed at when we visited Victoria in September – The Best Western Carlton Plaza. We can vouch for it. Good place. Great location in the heart of downtown. We were upgraded, without asking, to a suite that included a kitchenette. The fridge came in handy, if you know what I’m mean.

I know someone who already booked her trip. She told me that she and a friend are going to Victoria on the Clipper, staying two nights at one of the hotels downtown, and visiting Butchart Gardens for a grand total of $400. That’s the total for both of them. And at the end of the day they walk away with a voucher good for 2 for 1 tickets on the Clipper for the next trip. They can use the voucher themselves or gift it to someone else. Not a bad deal.

Here are the details from Clipper Vacations.

Cheers to our sponsors, like...

  1. More than a dollar, plus a ridiculous tax, and the beers aren’t as good as they are in Seattle. Perhaps I should have qualified that I looked forward to a Victoria beer trip for years, took it about a month ago, and was greatly disappointed.

  2. Your tastes must be more refined than ours. We were not disappointed. I would advise that you not go back. Also, there are a lot of places in the world where the beer is not on par with Seattle. You could always vacation in Portland. Though I know some people don’t think Portland’s beer is up to snuff either.
