To things from our friends at Silver City Brewing. First up, they have extended the hour at the Taproom in Bremerton. They have extended hours on weeknights. Monday thru Thursday 2:00pm – 9:30pm; Friday 12:00pm – 9:30pm; Saturday 12:00pm – 8:00pm; closed on Sunday.
Next up, Silver City Brewing announces the release of a Belgian Dark Strong Ale. Dubbed The Giant Made of Shadows, it is one of the beers in the brewery’s Limited Specialty series. Clocking in at a roaring 9.9 percent ABV, this is a deliciously scary beer. “It’s almost like one of those dreams. You’re running, but you’re not being chased. You might be running through the woods or down a hallway. Silver City Brewery’s Limited Specialty Series are small batch beers with large ambitions. Each beer in the series presents a unique style and a strong impression, with distinct flavors and strong ABV. Each beer in the series is released every two months for a total of 6 throughout the year. The series includes and released in this order; Imperial Stout – January, Fat Woody Scotch Ale – March, Liquid Sunshine Belgian Style Tripel – May, The Giant Made of Shadows Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale – July, Citra Pale Ale Fresh Hop Ale – September, & Old Scrooge Christmas Ale – November.

The Giant Made Of Shadows is a malty Dark Strong Ale in the Belgian Style. Belgian brewers have never placed style over expression and our full flavored ale is rich in black cherry, caramel, and coffee character. Spicy Belgian yeast marries with biscuity malt and warming alcohol in this distinctive, mysterious nightcap. Run from the shadows, not from the Giant.
