Simon Majumdar Returns to American Brewing this Thursday

This Thursday, Simon Majumdar, a best-selling author and national food celebrity, pays a visit to American Brewing Company in Edmonds. The brewery invites you to join the party at 6:00. Simon will be working the grill, cooking up some shrimp, chicken, and lamb tandoori skewers, for which they will charge a nominal fee while supplies last.

Don’t worry Seahawks fans, you can watch the first pre-season game versus the Broncos on American Brewing’s new 60-inch televisions.

Simon is a globetrotting foodie who last year embarked on his Fed, White and Blue Tour, a rambling adventure across America. Along the way, he stopped at American Brewing Company to help brew Fed, White and Brew ESB, which the brewery released in April of 2013. That beer went on to win a Bronze Medal at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival.

If his name or his face seem familiar, you probably watch The Food Network and food-focused television programs like Iron Chef America, Cutthroat Kitchen, and The Next Iron Chef. In recent years, Simon Majumdar earned a reputation as The Food Network’s toughest judge.

Simon is also an author who has penned the best-selling books Eat My Globe and Eating for Britain. More recently, he began a quest to earn his American citizenship. Part of his plan was to educate himself about all things American as related to food and drink, including farms, restaurants, distilleries, wineries and more. That lead him to embark on a tour across the continent to discover all that America had to offer. Of course, beer was involved. That’s how he ended up in Edmonds, Washington brewing beer with American Brewing Company.
