Sip Northwest celebrates 5 years & you’re invited

Next week, Sip Northwest is celebrating its fifth anniversary and you are invited. The event takes place 40 floors above the streets of Seattle on a beautiful rooftop deck overlooking the city.

In addition to writing for the Washington Beer Blog, I am also a regular contributor to Sip Northwest magazine. It’s a particularly beautiful magazine, run by really great people who are deeply entrenched in the local scene. I am happy to be part of the team and happy that all of you have been invited to help celebrate this milestone. 

On Thursday, August 27, the Sips of the Summer Bash takes over the 40th floor and rooftop of the new Premiere on Pine building in downtown Seattle from 6:00-9:00 pm. The event will offer beer, cider, wine and spirits from nearly 40 Northwest vendors. All of it paired with food from some of Seattle’s best restaurants.

Tickets to this libations-forward and food-fueled celebration are just $45. All proceeds from the event benefit the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters’ Benevolent Fund, a program providing aid to fire fighters, their families and others deemed in need.

“We are so grateful for and humbled by the amount of support we’ve received over the years from the food and beverage communities, as we wouldn’t be here without them,” publisher Kristin Ackerman says. “We wanted to take this opportunity to thank them while giving back. My cousin, who is also one of the founders of the magazine, is a battalion chief for the Kent Fire Department so this cause is near and dear to our magazine family.”
