Silver City Brewery, Aslan Brewing, Pike Brewing Co., Ghostfish Brewing Co., Ulee’s Light Cider, and Papa Bueno Tequila are ecstatic to announce partnership on an all-new Seattle Sounders-focused pub crawl event to be held on Sunday, October 15th. Celebrating Seattle sports and the local pub culture, the event will see up to one thousand thirsty fútbol fans coming together in Pioneer Square over delicious adult beverages at a variety of beloved establishments, culminating with participants attending the FC Dallas at Sounders FC match en masse at CenturyLink Field, 4:30PM PT.
Inspired by the overwhelming popularity of Silver City Brewery’s annual Mariners Pub Crawl, which in 2017 had 500 attendees and 14 participating pubs, one of the most frequent points of feedback was a desire for a similar, Sounders-focused event. “Rather than merely duplicating our Mariners Pub Crawl, we decided to go ‘big’ for this event,” notes Dan Frantz, marketing strategist for Silver City, “Part of that is providing variety, so we’re excited to announce that our friends at Aslan, Pike, and Ghostfish will be co-headlining the event as well as Ulee’s Light Cider and Papa Bueno Tequila for attendees that might want alternative beverage options to beer. Each of these brands has extremely dedicated fanbases, so we’ve reserved 1000 tickets for the match at CenturyLink Field.”
Tickets to the Seattle FC Pub Crawl go on sale August 1st at 4:00pm for $40/each. Price includes a ticket to the match as well as an exclusive t-shirt commemorating the pub crawl, with all six participating brands represented. When purchasing, attendees will choose their “home port” where they will have the option to check-in early and pick up their swag in the days leading up to the event.
The pub crawl will commence at 12:30pm on Sunday, October 15th. If participants have not already checked-in, they will be able to pick up their game tickets and t-shirts at a designated location. From there, attendees will be able to visit over a dozen locations throughout Pioneer Square, all featuring beverages by Silver City, Aslan, Pike, Ghostfish, Ulee’s, and Papa Bueno. A pub passport will be provided that lists the participating pubs, as well as a map of which brands are being poured at each location. Attendees are encouraged to partake responsibly and choose a “top few” locations to visit. Visiting every location is not mandatory, nor encouraged. At 4PM, an (optional) rendezvous location will be provided so participants can gather before the match begins at 4:30PM.
