Sour for the Holidays at the Copper Door

Since opening a couple years ago, The Copper Door in Tacoma has poured through some pretty amazing beers. Now, they’re planning their biggest event ever, Sour for the Holidays – two days of sour beers on November 21 and 22.

Each day features a different tap lineup of eight sour beers, as chosen by customers who will cast their votes on The Copper Door’s Facebook page. In all, 25 beers will be on the ballot. The list showcases a range of breweries, from Tacoma’s Engine House No. 9 to larger breweries like New Belgium and The Bruery.

“This is The Copper Door’s biggest event yet and is intended to be more interactive with the local beer/sour beer community,” says Kate, the manager at the Copper Door. “We are all about great beer and community, therefore voting allows us to reach out to our fan base to see what they want on tap. How do you vote? Find the list of sours to choose from on The Copper Door’s Facebook page. Pick the three you’d like to see on tap, and then simply comment to vote. The eight sours which receive the most votes will kick off the first day of Sour for the Holidays on November 21.”

Visit The Copper Door’s Facebook page to vote for your favorite sours.

“If sours aren’t your thing, but you want to attend with a sour fan, or just want to be among a great atmosphere cultivated at The Copper Door, and amplified by the sour festival, there are 16 total taps at The Copper Door, eight of which won’t be sours.”

“The Copper Door also has more than 800 bottles of beer and cider to choose from, with a selection that can satiate the appetite of any beer lover.”
