Standard Brewing’s 2nd anniversary soiree this Friday

When I first heard that a new brewery was opening in the heart of Seattle’s Central District, I admit that I was skeptical. Then I finally visited Standard Brewing and quickly became a believer. The little taproom is always busy, the pint-sized patio out front is comfortable, and the beer is delicious. This Friday the CD’s own Standard Brewing celebrates it second anniversary and they’re having a party to commemorate the occasion.

“We’ll be having our 2nd Anniversary on Friday from noon to midnight,” says Justin Gerardy, owner/brewmaster at Standard Brewing. “We’ll be releasing our 2nd Anniversary Ale, a 12% IPA, (only 100 bottles) as well as having a wood fired pizza truck on hand from 5:00 – 9:00. “

Happy Birthday to Standard Brewing. On a personal note, few breweries of such modest stature have so impress me.
