Stoup Brewing Plans to Celebrate 2nd Anniversary, Tapping New Sours

Stoup Brewing beer garden

On Saturday, October 24th Stoup Brewing will celebrate its second anniversary at the brewery in Ballard.

Doors open at noon, when they’ll tap into some new beers: Munich-Style Helles, #Whiskerstout, and two new sour beers. The #WHISKERSTOUT is an export-style stout that serves as an homage to MOvember, the month-long, international men’s health fundraiser. The two sour beers are aptly  named Sour No. 2 and Sour No. 3.

“These past two years have been pretty amazing. It only makes sense for us to celebrate with everyone that has helped us grow so quickly,” says Brad Benson, head brewery and co-owner at Stoup Brewing.

“Heck yeah!” added brewer, and co-owner, Robyn Schumacher. “It’s been a lot of hard work. It is definitely time for a party.”

Stoup Sour #3

ABV: 5% IBU: 9 SRM: 4
A Belgian-style Sour Blonde. A blonde ale brewed with a healthy dose of Lactobacillus to create a firm sourness and Brettanomyces lambicus to add cherry and funky notes.

Food will be available from Fez on Wheels. Also, sweet treats from Balleywood Creamery. Festivities will ramp up with live music in the taproom. Follow stoup brewing on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to find out about the music lineup.

Opened in October of 2013, Stoup Brewing communicates a respect for both the art and science of beer by cultivating a warm and communal environment – a place for friends to gather and for enthusiasts to chat with the brewers over a well-fashioned, delicious beer.
