Stoup Brewing prepares to celebrate 3rd anniversary on Saturday, October 29th

Stoup Brewing celebrates its third anniversary next Saturday October 29th. The party goes all day, from noon-10pm. The big news at the taproom these days is the addition of a fire pit to the beer garden, which will be blazing for the party and will otherwise help make outdoor quaffing more palatable in the cooler months ahead.

stoup_fireBeer releases for the anniversary include a variety of sours, some barrel aged, plus Vic Secret IPA, which makes use of a comically named new hop variety – Vic Secret is short for, you guessed it, Victoria Secret.  This Australian-bred hop takes it’s name from the place it was developed, the Rostrevor Breeding Garden in the state of Victoria, Australia.

Napkin Friends food truck will be out front for the day but from 3:00-7:00 Traeger grills will also be in the beer garden grilling up complimentary wings two ways: Left Wing will be doused in a succulent Stoup glaze, Right Wing will be spicy.

Planet Fly, a local funk band that includes Seattle beer legend, Larry Rock (one time brewer at Hales Ale Brewery and others, now a beer sales guru at Click Distributing) will play 2 sets starting at 6:00.

Knowing that it’s October in Seattle, Stoup is preparing for all weather eventualities and will have a large tent to extend the tap room out front. This year they’re even springing for tent heaters to keep everyone that isn’t gathered around the fire pit warm and cozy.
