Once again, it is time for the annual Greenwood Street Soccer Tournament. For the third year, they’ll shut down Greenwood Avenue in front of Naked City Brewery on a Saturday afternoon and transform the arterial into three soccer fields. Small goals, small balls, 3 on 3 teams. All proceeds benefit the Innovators Network at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
According to Naked City’s Fedora Man, “With a record number of teams including nearly 200 players in three divisions—Fun, Competitive, and Pro, featuring a few former Sounders—this year’s event may beat last year’s total of $5000 raised for Fred Hutch in a single day. In addition, two youth street soccer fields will open to young players age 8 to 18 from 11am – 5pm, at Phinney Ridge and 72nd, to help raise awareness for a full youth street soccer tournament in 2015.”
“After the street soccer Finals at 6pm in front of Naked City, School of Rock’s all day rock concert culminates in a headlining performance from the acclaimed Ayron Jones and the Way. The Yard Café, Phinney Market Pub, Sporthaus Schmetzer, American Music, Crescent Builds, and the Phinney Neighborhood Association provided incredible additional support, along with 14 amazing team sponsors, to make this uniquely Seattle event possible.”

Who: YOU! All skill levels welcome. Adults sign up for Fun, Competitive, or Pro divisions. Teams consist of 5-6 players. All divisions are Co-Ed. Fun and Competitive require at least one female player on the field at all times. Pro has no requirements.
Regular Team Fee: $150
– includes registration for one team of 5-6 players in Fun, Competitive, or Pro
– includes 3 guaranteed games plus a shot at the playoffs, prizes, and trophy
