Tacoma Beer Week kicks off on Sunday, August 5th and runs through Saturday, August 11th. Local bars, bottleshops, restaurants and breweries will host dozens of beer events around the Tacoma and Pierce County area. Educational events, special beer releases, tap takeovers and much more. The whole thing wraps up with Brew Five Three: Tacoma’s Beer and Music Festival on Saturday, August 11th.
A few highlights include the 4th Annual IPA Invitational at the Parkway Tavern (Aug. 7), the 2nd Annual The Hopnificent Seven Western Beer Festival at Peaks and Pints (August 9th), and the 3rd Annual Sour Tummy at Edison City Alehouse (August 11). Tacoma Beer Week Returns Aug. 5 2018
TACOMA, WASH. — Tacoma Beer Week is fast approaching and adventurous beer-cationers and locals alike must begin contemplating which events to attend during the South Sound’s biggest annual beer bash. Celebrating its fifth year, the Tacoma Beer Week Team has set Aug. 5-11, 2018, as the week beer enthusiasts will have access to dozens of craft beer events around the Tacoma/Pierce County area.
While the countywide festival is organized by Zoe Brackney, who founded Tacoma Beer Week five years ago, most of the events associated with the celebration are operated independently, produced by local bottle shops, bars, breweries and restaurants. These include beer education events, tasting parties, special beer releases and tap takeovers. Early highlights include The Harmon Taproom’s City Championship Air Guitar Contest Monday, Aug. 6; Parkway Tavern’s 4th Annual IPA Invitational, Tuesday, Aug. 7; Grit City Magazine’s launch party and collaboration beer release at Narrows Brewing, Wednesday, Aug. 8, Peaks and Pints’ 2nd Annual The Hopnificent Seven Western Beer Festival Thursday, Aug. 9 and Edison City Alehouse’s 3rd Annual Sour Tummy sour beer festival Saturday, Aug. 11.
The Broadway Center For The Performing Arts will host its annual Brew Five Three: Tacoma’s Beer and Music Festival during Tacoma Beer Week, Saturday, Aug. 11. Thirty-five plus Washington state breweries and cideries, bands and food trucks will entertain the masses at the sixth annual festival.
