by Kendall Jones, washingtonbeerblog.com
The other day we told you about a new Washington beer festival – Belgianfest. Well, now we have some more information to share. This, from the latest WABL newsletter:

We’re very excited to announce a brand new festival presented by the Washington Beer Commission- the Belgianfest! The event will take place on Saturday, January 23rd at the Engine Room at Georgetown Studios. There will be two sessions between 12-4pm and 6-10pm and about 20+ breweries will be serving, you guessed it, Belgian style beer. Breweries will be tasked to bring Belgian style beer, traditional or with twist, and the requirement is to use Belgian yeast. We’re still working on a few fun ideas- we’re partnering with Belgian Beer Me! to help more people understand and appreciate fascinating Belgian beer culture, and are also working on a Belgian beer dinner with the Corson Building in Georgetown which will be absolutely amazing! More detail will become available in coming months so stay tuned!

2010 Belgianfest
