TanakaSan Sour Beer Tasting Event

Of all the restaurants in the vast Tom Douglas culinary empire, TanakaSan is currently my favorite. This is where Southeast Asian street food meets American comfort food in a casual, pop-in environment. The result is crazy-big, bold and unexpected flavors. Just the way I like ’em. And to accompany all that flavorful food, TanakaSan offers a very nice selection of craft beer on tap. Now, I have one more reason to adore TanakaSan: they’re hosting a sour beer and food pairing event.

TanakaSan’s Sour Hour takes place on March 31st. It’s not really a beer dinner, it more like beer and bites. Chef Brian Walczyk will provide snacks to accompany a lovely selection of funky brews. Below, you will find more information about the event.

TanakaSan is located in Assembly Hall, at the corner of 6th and Lenora in Seattle – the heart of Douglasville (half a dozen Tom Douglas restaurants within a few blocks). TanakaSan is on the ground floor of the Via 6 Apartments, right next to Home Remedy, which is a store, deli and growler-filling station that you should check out while you’re there.

My fave: TanakaSan’s Osaka Pancake. Umami, umami, umami!
