Seattle Beer Week is not necessarily about Seattle beer. It’s about Seattle’s love of beer. I get it. Really, I do. Given the fact that there are now about 40 breweries within Seattle city limits, you’d think someone would dedicate at least one Seattle Beer Week event to, you know, Seattle beer. To me, it doesn’t seem too much to ask.
Cheers to the Beveridge Place Pub. This Thursday at 6:00 p.m. they’ll kick of Seattle Beer Week with nothing but Seattle beer on the bar. Seattle Cask-O-Rama features at least 16 Seattle-brewed beers poured the way God intended, from firkins lined up along the bar top. Below we provide the lineup. Ten days of beer-fuel hoopla gets started on Thursday with the beginning of Seattle Beer Week. Visit the Seattle Beer Week website for details about what’s happening citywide. If you want to start the whole thing off by celebrating the beers we brew right here in Seattle, consider hitting the Bev on Thursday night.
The Kendall thinks there will be plenty of time for you to chase down your favorite out-of-state celebrity brewers. Try to dedicate at least some of Seattle Beer Week to celebrating what our brewers do right here in the Emerald City. That’s what The Kendall intends to do. Rest assured he’ll be guilty of drinking a lot of not-so-local beers, too. (Sorry if you don’t recognize the humor in my use of illeism.)
