Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 17 for second annual food and beer pairing event

SEATTLE (August 16, 2012) – The Washington Beer Blog announces that tickets will go on sale this Friday for the Second Annual Craft Beer + Food, an event that celebrates the area’s finest restaurants and breweries coming together to create delicious pairings. The event will be held Wednesday, September 19 at the Yacht Club on Lake Union at 5:00 p.m.

At the event guests will have an opportunity to sample 10 different food and beer pairings provided by local restaurants and breweries. Chefs work side-by-side with their brewer partners to devise outstanding and sometimes surprising combinations that highlight how beer can be a part of an elevated dining experience.

“Our goal is really quite simple: we aim to bring local food and local beer together in a meaningful and delicious way,” says Kendall Jones, director of the Washington Beer Blog. “Around Seattle our local breweries produce an amazing variety of fresh and delicious beers. Likewise, our local chefs produce outstanding dishes, taking advantage of all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. What we do is facilitate the introductions. Now, the brewers and the chefs, the beers and the food—they are the real stars of the show.”

This year’s restaurant participants include Brave Horse Tavern, Emmer&Rye, Italianissimo, Matt’s in the Market, Quinn’s Pub, Ravish on Eastlake, Ray’s Boathouse, The Triple Door, and Trellis. The tenth and final participant will be announced at the event, which will serve as an introduction for a new restaurant from an esteemed, local restaurateur.

Brewery participants include Airways Brewing, American Brewing, Elysian Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Odin Brewing, Port Townsend Brewing, Pike Brewing, Schooner Exact Brewing, and Two Beers Brewing.

Starting at noon on Friday, August 17, tickets can be purchased online for $30 by visiting the official event website. Proceeds from the event benefit the Just Garden Project. For more information, visit and follow @craftbeerfood on Twitter.
