Update…. NOTE: We had a last minute cancellation which means we have one lane available. It can accommodate up to 8 bowlers. If you are interested contact [email protected] Cost for the lane is $200, donation to the West Seattle Food Bank.
For the past 20 years, I have organized and hosted a big bowling party and fundraiser. For most of those years, I’ve done it with my wife Kim by my side. Also, for most of those years we’ve done it to benefit the West Seattle Food Bank. That’s who we’ll benefit again this year. The 20th Annual Beer Church Turkey Bowl takes place on Saturday, November 17th at West Seattle Bowl from 5:30 until 8:00, with the raffle happening at 7:00.
This event also doubles as a release party for this year’s version of Beer Church IPA. You can read all about the beer here. Turkey Bowl, along with the release event that day at Two Beers Brewing, is your first opportunity to taste this limited-release beer.
We’ve already sold out the bowling part of the event, taking down all 32 of the lanes at the bowling alley, but everyone is invited to come out and join in the fun. Bring some food for the food drive or just come to participate in our target raffle and have a beer. We’ve got some great stuff lined up for the taking. Not just beery stuff, though there’s plenty of that, but all sorts of other cool prizes too. The folks from West Seattle Food bank will be there collecting food donations and bowling, too.
Kim and I owe a lot of thanks to the community that surrounds us. Not just our friends and family who volunteer alongside us, but all of the businesses that support us and donate items for the raffle. Our big sponsors this year are West Seattle Bowl and The Beer Junction — huge thanks to them!
In addition to the general public, a number of breweries come out to play at Turkey Bowl and support our efforts. This year we are happy to have the following breweries and bars represented at the event:
Beveridge Place Pub
Black Raven Brewing
Diamond Knot Brewing
Elliott Bay Brewing
Naked City Brewing
The Beer Junction
Two Beers Brewing
