As we posted previously, the Washington Beer Commission is introducing a new event to its lineup of beer festivals: the Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival. The event takes place on Saturday, April 29th in Kennewick, WA. Tickets are on sale now.

Bale Breaker Brewing – Yakima
1) Topcutter IPA
Our flagship IPA is a well-balanced yet aggressive West Coast IPA that showcases Yakima Valley hops at their finest. 2) Bottomcutter IIPA
Double dry-hopped with homegrown Yakima hops, Bottomcutter IIPA may be light in color but is packed with citrus and pine hop character. This Imperial IPA is brewed to finish dry, perfect for the combination of Citra®, Simcoe®, and Ekuanot™ hops. As the bottomcutter is a tractor that leads the topcutter through the fields during harvest, this beer will lead to a new appreciation for our valley’s hops. 8.2% ABV / 100 IBU
3) Raging Ditch Dry-Hopped Blonde
Named for the maze of irrigation ditches that flow throughout the Yakima Valley’s rich farmland, Raging Ditch Dry-Hopped Blonde will quench a drinker’s thirst on a hot summer afternoon. While on the lighter side, Bale Breaker’s newest seasonal beer is dry-hopped with two exciting new hop varieties. Ekuanot™ imparts the bright citrus hop notes, while the still-experimental hop variety, HBC344, provides a touch of tropical fruit character. 5.3% ABV / 20 IBU

Black Raven Brewing – Redmond
1) Trickster India Pale Ale

Blewett Brewing – Leavenworth
1) Crikside Citra IPA
Our Crikside Citra IPA is a homage to a benchmark of the American IPA style. It’s brewed in a traditional Northwest style; American base malt and crystal malt create the big body and supporting grainy sweetness, while Citra® and Mosaic® hops deliver pronounced citrus with a dominant grapefruit aroma and flavor. In the glass you get a pale amber color, hop intensity and malt. 7% ABV / 65 IBU
2) Nut Brown Ale
Styled after southern English brown ales, our Nut Brown is a great all-around beer. It’s mild enough for light beer drinkers, but characterful enough for more experienced craft beer lovers. The finished product exhibits a deep copper color, fruit/caramel flavor and aroma with toasty, chocolatey notes and a hint of smokiness. 5.2% ABV / 22 IBU

This IPA gets its light silky texture from rolled oats. The flavor and aroma both express mandarin and citrus all around. Over five pounds of hops per barrel makes this IPA truly Bodhilicious. Gold medal winner in the American Style IPA category at the Great American Beer Festival in 2016! 6.9% ABV
2) Gusto Crema
Building on Gusto Crema blend, a medium roasted bean from our friends at Caffé Umbria, we made a smooth, rich cream ale. This beer has roasted flavor, aroma, and color from cold brew coffee. Smooth, rich mouthfeel comes from oats and Munich malt. Gold medal winner in the Coffee Beer category at the Great American Beer Festival in 2016! 4.5% ABV
3) Roger’s Pilsner
Yakima grown Czech-style Sterling hops give this refreshing pilsner a spicy and earthy hop aroma. Malt character is accentuated by a Bavarian Lager Yeast that ferments dry but round and complex. 4.9% ABV

Ghostfish Brewing – Seattle
1) Peak Buster Double IPA
This beer is beyond “big”! We piled a mountain of Equinox, Azacca, Centennial, and Summit hops on a heavy foundation of millet and buckwheat malts, then blew it sky-high with raw cane sugar. With over-the-top hop flavors of pine and passionfruit and a surprising stone-dry finish, this Giant is a force to be reckoned with! 9.5% ABV / 100+ IBU
2) Wild Bill’s Un-Barley Wine
A barley wine without barley sounds like an oxymoron, but the complex grain bill of malted buckwheat, toasted millet, and crystal rice malts is sure to surprise and satisfy the skeptics. Deep, full-bodied, and bursting with rich malt flavors of sweet bread, dulce de leche, and a hint of whisky. Brewed in memory of Willie “Wild Bill” Soles, deceased husband of Grouse Malting Company’s head Maltstress Twila Soles. 9% ABV / 70 IBU

A golden unfiltered wheat beer with a taste of tangerine. 8% ABV / 12 IBU
3) Hop Hash IPA
An IPA using newly developed LupuLN2. LupuLN2 is the lupulin extracted from the whole hop during a cryogenic process. The result is a highly concentrated Lupulin powder with a high oil content, strong aromatic properties, and reduced vegetal flavor. Simcoe and Mosaic LupuLN2 along with Cascade pellets were used in the late kettle additions. The beer was dry hopped with Simcoe, Citra, Cascade, and Chinook. The result Is an IPA with a lot of tropical juiciness and a subtle pine flavor. 7.2% ABV / 55 IBU

Icicle Brewing – Leavenworth
1) Dark Persuasion German Chocolate Cake Ale
Delicate dark chocolate with a whisper of coconut… You know you want it, go ahead and indulge. You can finally have and drink it too. There’s no need to be nervous, it’s just wickedly deep and full of flavor and desire. With its provocative aroma and smooth body, this is certainly the darkest of fifty shades of risqué. 6.5% ABV / 22 IBU
2) Khaos Kölsch
As the frigid water of Icicle Creek tumbles down the canyon, pouring over boulders, churning in eddies, foam and froth billowing from beneath, it dreams of one day becoming the greatest beer ever. A German Style Ale that delicately balances subtle fruit flavors and aromas with a subdued maltiness, a beer that’s fresh like an alpine spring and as crisp as a mountain breeze. It dreams of brewing up to be the refreshing Khaos Kölsch. 5% ABV / 21 IBU

Laht Neppur Brewing – Waitsburg
1) Piper Canyon Scotch Ale (Wee Heavy)
This is like the Anti-IPA. Slightly sweet malt flavors and a low hop profile make this a favorite for those that don’t crave hops. A generous amount of Honey and Cane sugars are boiled down to a candy-like consistency then added at the end of the boil giving this ale a long smooth finish. 8.4% ABV / 20 IBU
2) Strawberry Cream Ale
American Style Amber Ale with strawberry puree and milk sugar. Simple and good. 5.5% ABV / 17 IBU
3) Katie’s Kolsch
Refreshing Pale Ale made with 2-row malted barley, Pilsen malt, malted white wheat, and 100% Northern Brewer hops. 5.2% ABV / 25 IBU
4) Old Millennium Imperial IPA
Simple high gravity recipe using malted barley, malted white wheat, flaked rye and loads of Millennium and Centennial hops. 10.4% ABV / 92 IBU

Lumber House Brewing – Maple Valley
1) 3 C’s IPA
Lumber House 3 C’s IPA is a Traditional Pacific NW IPA. Brewed with 3 different kinds of hops, Columbus, Centennial, Chinook- developed to feature the unique combination of these three hop flavors. We are reintroducing Chinook & Centennial Hops during a dry hop processes to enhance the hop flavors. 5.5% ABV / 60 IBU
2) Rockslide Amber
This is a traditional Pacific NW Amber Ale, with a perfect balance between bitterness and malty-ness. Accompanied with a deep caramel color, subtle caramel flavors and a clean hop finish. 5.7% AV / 43 IBU

This big, bold copper colored ale showcases Munich & Crystal malts to create a big supportive body on which we layer our favorite Washington hops. Chinook & Cascade provide citrus and piney flavors, while Northern Brewer adds a hint of mint. Dry ¬hopping with Cascade and Columbus increases the beer’s hoppy aromas. Malt, hops and yeast derived fruitiness combine to create our most complex offering. 7% ABV / 85 IBU
2) Jet Star Imperial IPA
Brewed to showcase local, Washington-grown hops in all their glory, Jet Star’s malt is intentionally subdued to allow the double-dosed hops from the late kettle hop additions and dry-hopping to take over the beer. Chinook and Cascade hops provide the classic citrus and pine aroma associated with big, bold American hops. 8.1% ABV / 115 IBU
3) White Chocolate Razz Rise and Grind
Rise & Grind – it’s a wake-up call, a brewer’s breakfast. This smooth and luscious ale imparts flavors of coffee, chocolate and toasted grain. Layers of freshly roasted Gemelli coffee give the beer an extra twist. 6.1% ABV / 22 IBU
4) Making Love at Midnight
We took our Red White and No-Li Pale Ale, a massively Citra Dry-Hopped Pale ale, and mixed it with Pineapple and Coconut. 6.1% ABV / 35 IBU

Northern Ales – Kettle Falls
1) Flume Creek IPA
Like the fresh unspoiled smell of a forest creek flowing to an orchard, this IPA starts off with pine and citrus flavors turning to fresh squeezed tangerine on the finish. We have logged and mined the depths of our imagination for every available combination of Cascade and Summit hops to produce the refreshing and great tasting Flume Creek IPA. 6.5% ABV / 65 IBU
2) Okanagan Highlander
If you wander into the highland woods of North Eastern Washington late at night you are likely to come across a warming campfire surrounded by friends enjoying this Scotch Style Ale. The Okanagan Highlander is dark, mild bodied, smooth beer that will leave you wondering “what is under that kilt?”, singing Shanties, and toasting SLAINTE! 6% ABV / 20 IBU
3) Grouch Lager
The Grouch Lager is a domestic style lager beer. Light and smooth, it is perfect for tailgating, floating the river, or slaying fish with your friends on the beach. Don’t let the name get you down, it comes from the annual competition to buy an election in Kettle Falls, Washington and raise money for Town and Country Days which brings the community out for music, entertainment and of course a beer garden! 3.25% ABV / 9 IBU

Orlison Brewing – Airway Heights
1) Orangelicious Golden Ale
Inspired by those frozen orangey, creamy ‘sicles enjoyed during our youthful summertime respites. Brewed with orange zest, vanilla bean and lactose, Orangelicious is the adult equivalent to the neighborhood ice cream truck. 5.3% ABV / 15 IBU
2) Shin Splints IPA
This bright clean IPA is brewed using Pale, Munich, and Vienna malts giving it a subtle fresh bread and smooth characteristic. The addition of Perle and Amarillo hops create notes of spicy grapefruit. 5.3% ABV / 65 IBU
3) Hill Climb Honey Wheat
Hill Climb Honey Wheat is brewed with almost 50% wheat, lightly bittered with German noble hops, and finished with rich PNW amber honey. Smooth and sweet, this unfiltered American Wheat Ale is dialed in! 5.1% ABV / 31 IBU

Paradise Creek Brewery – Pullman
1) Huckleberry Pucker Shandy
Our super popular Huckleberry Pucker Berliner Weisse with lemon added makes this an extremely drinkable summer favorite. Loved by people who don’t even ordinarily like beer! 4.4% ABV / 2 IBU
2) Hop Hammer Double IPA
A big malt bill with a bit of rye creates this high-octane beer with generous amounts of Summit, Simcoe, Sorche Ace, Chinook, and Falconers Flight hops. 8.7% ABV / 101 IBU
3) Kugar Kolsch
A German style pilsner, cool fermented ale, provides a clean crisp grainy malt backbone with noticeable hops. This is a very refreshing summer go-to beer. 4.8% ABV / 23 IBU

1) Evil Tendencies Double IPA
Nefarious brainchild of a brewer and beer purveyor, this double is brewed with over 1,000 pounds of malt in a 10-barrel batch. All the rich malt is balanced with a whopping 100 IBU’s of Chinook, Columbus, and Amarillo hops. 9.9% ABV / 100 IBU
2) Wa’ dat? Sour IPA
Hopvine IPA blended with a barrel-aged sour and dry hopped with citra – a tart, clean, mouthfeel with plenty of hoppy flavor. 5.5% ABV / 30 IBU

Scuttlebutt Brewing – Everett
1) Scuttlebutt’s Jalapeno Tripel 7
A beautiful pairing, Scuttlebutt’s Jalapeno Tripel 7 is a model of contrast. The broad flavor of the jalapeno and serrano peppers marry beautifully with the delicate white pear and clove flavors present in the Tripel 7. This beer isn’t a burner, it’s surprisingly refreshing and drinkable. 9% ABV / 10 IBU
2) Charlie Noble India Pale Ale
The term Charlie Noble refers to the cooking smokestack on a ship. It came to be so titled for a British merchant captain who, upon learning that his cooking smokestack was made of copper, demanded of his crew to keep the stack bright and polished. Charlie Noble is a refreshing tropical IPA fit for drinking anytime of the day. 4.6% ABV / 53 IBU

This big and juicy IPA is the grown-up version of our Ace IPA. Utilizing the big citrus flavors and aromas of Denali hops, while balancing that citrus with the resin and piney flavors and aromas of Eureka and Ekuanot hops. This IPA also features a changing hop or hops with each batch to provide drinkers with a delicious and unique experience each time a glass is poured. 8.5% ABV
2) Hop of the Walk
Citrus and fruity hop flavors blend with piney and herbal hop flavors to create a balanced aroma forward IPA. Hop of the Walk IPA captures the freshness of Spring and the dry refreshment of Summer. 5.5% ABV
3) P-51 Porter
Rich roasty, dark and chocolaty, this is a robust porter with a good clean finish. 8% ABV

2) Ludicrous Speed Triple IPA
An exercise in ridiculousness, this Triple IPA goes straight to Plaid. It will take you out to a nice dinner on Planet Spaceball, then never call you back. You want hops? You got hops! All the hops! Columbus? Check. Cascade? Chiggity-check! Resinous, spicy, piney, lightly fruity, all tied up with enough alcohol to make anyone look like a Druish Princess. Ludicrous speed, Go! 11.6% ABV / 100+ IBU
3) Pitch Black IPA
Aged on baker’s chocolate and orange zest and hopped with a pound-per-barrel of Columbus and Nugget hops, this beer is half chewy American Stout, half resinous IPA. 6.7% ABV / 75 IBU
4) Abuelita Amber
A session Amber aged on Guajillo chilis and Roast House coffee. Pepper aroma up front with subtle roast and dark coffee notes, finishing with light caramel and spice-forward hops. 4.5% ABV / 30 IBU
