Urban Family Brewing ready to open its new Magnolia location

We just received news that Urban Family Brewing is almost ready to open its new tasting room in Magnolia. The official opening is this Friday, October 24th. Details below.

The brewery originally opened in downtown Ballard back in 2012, brewing in the back of its pub on Ballard Ave. It didn’t take long for Urban Family to realize it needed to make more beer than the space would allow. The search began for a new location. So to did the process of securing a larger brewing system.

Urban Family Brewing claims to be the first brewery tasting room in Magnolia. I find no evidence to the contrary. Cheers to that! And Cheers to Urban Family Brewing, I know they’ve been working hard on this project for a long time.

Here’s the press release:

Also available, will be two of our wild beers: De La Brett and Deuce is Wild. With the exception of Deuce is Wild, which was aged for 8 months in wine barrels at our original home, all the beers have been brewed in Magnolia on our new brewing system.

After first opening on Ballard Ave in January 2012, this summer Urban Family Brewing moved across the ship canal to a new warehouse space in order to expand our brewing operations and offer our small batch beers to an overlooked neighborhood.  Our beers are available in finer beer bars and bottle shops across the Puget Sound area.

The tasting room will be open every weekend during the following hours: Friday 4-9 PM, Saturday 1-9 PM and Sunday 11 AM-5 PM
