Very quietly, Cloudburst Brewing celebrates first anniversary this Friday

This Friday, with little or no fanfare and hoopla, Cloudburst Brewing celebrates its first anniversary at the brewery’s taproom in Seattle. One year ago Cloudburst hit the streets to the cheers of all who adored the beers that owner/brewer Steve Luke created during his stint at Elysian Brewing. Everyone wondered how things would shape up at his own place. No disappointments. Understatement.

This Friday, January 6th at the brewery and taproom in downtown Seattle, Cloudburst will tap into some special beers and will even serve up some food provided by Baywater Shellfish and Brave Horse Tavern. Among the special offerings, Cloudburst’s hazelnut and coffee imperial stout. They’ll also tap into a cinnamon and raisin brown ale, as well as some barrel-aged beers, like a saison aged in DeLille Cellars White Burgundy barrels. And of course, lots of IPAs.

The fun gets started at 2:00 on Friday and it’s sure to be a busy, crowded event. The taproom is quite cozy, which is perhaps the reason why there’ been no shouting from the rooftops about the event. Put your patient pants on and go get some damn good beer. Cloudburst Brewing is located at 2116 Western Ave, just two blocks north of Pike Place Market.
