Washington beer happenings this weekend

Seattle Celebrates IPA – Around Seattle, we sure do lover our IPA (read our story from last week). This weekend you can get your fill of India Pale Ale at one of two ongoing IPA festivals. The Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle is celebrating IPApril all month long, with at least 12 IPAs on tap at any given time. Up in Lake City, Cooper’s Alehouse is celebrating its 8th Annual IPA Festival—a three week celebration of hoppy brews that lasts through the end of the month.

Washington Beer Gets Canned – Down in Gig Harbor, 7 Seas Brewing is about to become the first Washington craft brewery to package their beer in aluminum cans. At their tasting room tomorrow (Saturday, April 17th), 7 Seas will be celebrating the release of their new 16 oz. tallboy cans. (The Ballz Deep Double IPA and English Pale Ale will be available in cans.) They will also be releasing a new IPA, which has yet to be named. The Can Release Party goes from 12:00 – 6:00.

If you know of something else going on this weekend, please leave a comment and share the info.
