Washington Brewers Festival 2014 – The Big Daddy Brewfest Gets Even Bigger

The big daddy just got bigger. The three-day Washington Brewers Festival is the state’s largest beer event of the year, with dozens of breweries serving hundreds of beers to thousands of festivalgoers. This year, the annual Fathers Day brewfest is getting even bigger. In all, 88 of Washington’s breweries will pour more than 300 different beers at the event (the list of breweries is below).

Once again, Marymoor Park will host the festival, which takes place Friday June 13 through Sunday June 15 (Fathers Day weekend). Tickets are already on sale. Proceeds from this event benefit the Washington Beer Commission. Operating as a commission within the Washington State Department of Agriculture, the Washington Beer Commission is the only official organization of its kind in the nation and is tasked with promoting Washington-brewed beers and the state’s 200+ breweries.

Saturday and Sunday will feature the full 88 brewery lineup with more than 300 different beers on tap.

KIDS
In addition to the spectacular beer selection for dads the Festival offers many activities for the young ones including bouncy toys and a kids’ craft tent where they can make Fathers Day cards and gifts. In addition, Washington Beer’s own soda garden will serve up premium craft root beer and soda, including a selection of organic, fruit sodas brewed by Fremont Brewing.

CIDER/WINE
This year’s Cider & Wine Tasting Tent will feature Seattle Cider, Sky River mead and a nice selection of wine on tap from Vessel Wine.

Over the weekend you’ll hear everything from funk, alt-country rock to blues. Similar to the beer selection the Festival’s music lineup features an eclectic blend of the Northwest musical talents.
