Washington Brewers Festival followup: Which breweries got the most tokens

Cheers to the Washington Beer Commission for throwing another awesome beer festival! Last weekend’s Washington Brewers Festival saw over 130 breweries pour about 600 different beers. It’s impossible to say which of the individual beers was the most popular, but we do know which breweries collected the most tokens. We share that information below.

This is by no means a commentary on which brewery is the best, or even the best-loved. There are a lot of factors involved. Of course, the crowd buzz (the chatter among festivalgoers) is probably the most significant contributing factor. Also, some breweries have a certain amount of notoriety and always draw a crowd. Other breweries are from distant regions of the state, like Spokane, Bellingham and Arlington, and their presence at the festival offers local beer drinkers a chance to sample the brewery’s beers without all that pesky driving. Like I said, lots of factors to consider beyond “the best.”

Congrats to Skookum Brewing of Arlington! They showed particularly well this year. Not that surprising, really; they make great beer.

  1. River Time Brewing, whom I had never heard of before had a fantastic Hot Irish Kolsch! Triplehorn’s Moe Whisky Stout was amazing. And Stoup’s Rye Barrel-aged Belgian Stout was fantastic.

  2. Always love a Triplehorn beer!! My favorite and love their establishment
In Woodinville! They know how to do it right!
