Washington taprooms and bars – Reopening Survey

Very crowded taproom at gig harbor brewing.

This is a time of many transitions for our breweries and for their customers. Washington State introduced a phased reopening plan that could allow breweries and brewpubs to reopen with modifications as soon as June 1st. As Washington State breweries and brewpubs are in the process of planning and reworking their spaces and procedures for a potential reopening, we are curious about consumer attitude.

Will you feel safe going back to breweries and brewpubs for a beer and/or meal? Please take our survey – thanks for your opinions on this. While we are not doing this in conjunction with the local brewing industry, we have been asked to do this and we will share our results with you and with them.

  1. Really missing all of the wonderful Washington beers! Nothing tastes better than a newly tapped keg.

    1. If Target, Napa, Starbucks can be open why can’t very responsible establishments like breweries be open ?
      Should be considered essential.

  2. Kegs are keeping us safe. Thank you Fremont Brewing for easy curbside pickup and drop off!

  3. Target has more than 50% capacity. Customers not required to wear masks and those wearing masks have false sense of security and not social distancing. Breweries have an outdoor option and simple layout so should be open for business.

  4. We are anxious for breweries to restore their on-premise services, and they need our help too. Tip your servers well when they come back.

In the meantime, support independent breweries and bottle shops, by buying cans, bottles, growlers, crowlers, and kegs.

Most beer is still available, if you really want it. But don’t forget the servers, who are suffering the most, and without whom on-premise tasting would be impossible.

When there is a reopening, it will be a good time for a brewery tour, to catch up with people after this crisis.
