Washington Winter Beer Fest – Tickets On Sale

Some of you may be upset with me for posting this information on the blog. To you I say, go buy your tickets now. Do not blame me if you dillydally and it sells out before you take care of business. The Washington Beer Commission announced yesterday that tickets are on sale for the 2012 Washington Winter Beer Festival (December 7 and 8). This celebration of Washington’s annual crop of winter beers, held at Hale’s Palladium in Seattle, is certain to sell out again this year, especially the Friday night session (hint).

There are two sessions, a four-hour session on Friday evening and a longer, all day session on Saturday. Twenty-eight breweries are schedule to pour at the event, but you never know if event organizers will somehow find room to squeeze in a couple more.

Compared to other Washington Beer Commission events, this is an intimate affair. The Hale’s Palladium is a great event space, but Winter Beer Fest could probably fill a room three times its size. That is one of the endearing qualities about this festival: it’s cozy. Of course the great selection of winter beers is also rather endearing.

If you love to drink big, bold, belly-warming winter beers, you should not miss this event. As usual, the brewers will be pulling out all the stops for this Commission festival. Expect barrel-aged beers, one-off beers, rare beers, infused beers and anything else.
